Who are we?

Copey Estate Winery is part of a great project called 3 Corners Wine, that seeks to make known a whole new concept of superior wines production, in three different corners of the world.

Today the project has extreme wineries in the Negev desert in Israel, in the volcanic rocks of Moon Mountain in California and in the mountains of Copey de Dota in Costa Rica. Together, these three regions give the name of the project as 3 Corners Wine.

Extreme wines are those that are produced in places with extreme weather and soil conditions, like deserts, mountainous areas, rugged terrain or with harsh winters, that allow to harvest fruits with unique flavors that turn to singular wines with an extraordinary personality.

Making the impossible possible

The idea of producing an exceptional grape in Costa Rica, a country where its tropical climate does not favor the cultivation of grapes, was something that seemed impossible.

However, the exceptional environment of Copey de Dota’s mountains, with a microclimate that compensates the humidity of the rest of the country and an exceptional soil rich in rocks, minerals, and natural spring water, made it seem like the perfect place to start this adventure.

Today, after many tries and the great effort of our viticulturist and agricultural team, we have managed to plant more than 35,000 vines on 15 hectares, always using the best and most sophisticated agricultural practices to obtain the best nutrients for our wines.

We are committed to creating exceptional wines of the highest quality.

Creators of the first and only international level vineyard in Costa Rica and Central América and the only golden berry liqueur in the world.

Paola Bolaños and the tour guides’ team

Paola Bolaños, Commercial Manager for tours and events and our guides team Nela, Anthony and Alonso, will make your visit an unique experience.

Serrano Family

Each of them in their different areas, have been with the founders since the beginning.

Andrés Serrano:
Submanager and Costa Rica’s first winemaker. He is in charge of producing wines with the highest international quality standards in Copey de Dota.

Miriam Serrano:
She is in charge of communication and introduce the beauties of such a unique place through social media.

Rolando Serrano:
General Manager, he has always been on top of the project and accompanying the founders since the first day this great dream started.

Pamela Molina:
In charge of organizing and directing the administrative department as well as the execution of the administrative processes, from Human Resources, Logistics, Finance, Sales, Accounting and others.

Mateo Serrano:
Our winegrower. He studies the terroir for the vine’s cultivation in such a singular region and is in charge of a great agricultural team.
